the lil handmade stuff!

When I became pregnant with my daughter, I started to pick up sewing. I would sew gifts for friends and loved to see their faces light up with joy at the gifts I made. After much encouragement from my beloved friends, I've decided to sell my handmade items too. I hope you'll like them as much as my friends do!

My very own diaper clutch!

Fits a pack of wet wipes, 2 diapers and a diaper cream nicely!

I love uniqueness so I only make 2 of each design.
Each clutch is about 10" x 7".
It's made of cotton and is lined with thin batting giving it a cushiony feeling. That helps to protect your items!
Use it as a diaper clutch, or just a weekend clutch on a lazy Sunday! :)

Patapum Baby and Toddler Carrier

I must say that this is the most daddy-friendly carriers in town. It's rugged-looking and wouldn't hurt to get a bit of dirt on it! Every mother should get one to get the fathers to carry the baby! :)

Okay, mothers can use it too, especially if you've got an older baby and this is the first time you are coming across soft structured carriers.

The thing about Patapum is that it's most suitable for babies 6 months and beyond as the carriers requires the baby to have good neck support. However, I tried Sophie in it at 5 months cos I felt her neck support's strong and good.

Recently, I got the husband to tried it when we made a trip to Botanical Gardens with our little one. Daddy felt proud carrying the little one. The little one? She was contented she fell asleep on Daddy's chest whenever she got tired. It was a wonderful day for our little family indeed. :)

I enjoyed it when I used it on my own. I must say Patapum has the best support amongst the few soft structured carriers I'm selling. Best support meaning if I'm going on a holiday ( without the stroller) or a hiking trip, I'll definitely bring my Patapum. I think I can walk for days with my baby in them!

They come in baby and toddler version. Baby version is suitable from 6 months to 18months. Toddler version suitable for 12 -36months, mainly for taller and heavier babies as the main body panel is longer.

Angel Pack Carrier

After I decided I was going to sell carriers, I decided to give Angel Pack and Patapum carriers a try. Will review on Patapum in the next post!

Angel Pack Carriers are made of 100% organic cotton, which explains how comfortable it is for a weather like Singapore's! It's very compact and folds up neatly into a small rectangular pack. Great for easy storage or to pop it into your diaper bag when you need. The prints are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! :)

I tried it on and I love the feel of it. Like I said, its very comfy and cooling. Sophie sat in it comfortably and didn't fuss one bit the first time she tried it. Support's great! :) You see, since I almost feel no weight or strain while carrying my girl, I'll have to gauge the awesomeness of the support by how I feel at the end of the day. No back pain at the end of the day!

If you like your carriers washed daily, I'll definitely recommend this cos it dries really fast! :)

Action Baby Carrier

My husband's not very into wraps so when our daughter grew older, we decided to get one of those soft structured carriers. We looked through many types and decided on the Action Baby Carrier cos we felt that it was what we could afford and it looks pretty!

It took a while for me to get used to wearing the carrier cos previously I was using a borrowed Baby Bjorn. But once I got the hang of it, it got really easy and the support's awesome! I also like the fact that the sleeping hood is part of the carrier so it wouldn't go missing at all unless the whole carrier's gone. :)

Sophia took a while to get used to the carrier too but once she was used to it, she was as happy as a lark!

The Action Baby Carrier is also suitable for babies from birth up to about 20kg. That's quite a lot of weight if you ask me!

Sugarsweetbaby Wraps!

I've always been a fan of wraps ever since my daughter had reflux and had to be carried in a upright manner from the time she was 1 month old. Was then introduced to the Sleepywrap and I loved it so much. Sophia slept really well in it and it reduced her reflux trememdously! I could even nurse her in it if I wanted too. A bit too shy to do that though. :) Its a pity our Singapore's weather condition doesn't permit the frequent use of the Sleepywrap because our weather's way to hot for a material like that.

However, recently, I found a wrap that's perfect for our country's weather! Its the Sugarsweetbaby wraps! They are made of bamboo and organic cotton and it feels just like a cool t-shirt to be worn on a hot day! Unlike the plain wraps, it also as beautiful designs making it look like a lovely shirt! The pricing is higher definitely cos of the material used, but its a worthwhile investment. I tried it out on Sophia and she fell asleep in minutes!

Did I also mention the back support you can get from a wrap is just totally amazing? I've had two major spinal surgerys before, but this bamboo wrap's done magic to it. I can carry my 7kg bundle of joy everywhere and still feel good about my usually aching back after a whole day's carrying. Lovely!
